Students in Little Snake River Valley have been calling their ag teacher Mr. Wille for 59 years. Dale Wille grew up in the Little Snake River Valley where his father was his ag teacher. Naturally, he took up the family business because he wanted to help his home community and give young people the same great experience.
For 31 years now, Wille has been giving students the same life lessons he learned through ag, as well as showing them a good time along the way. His favorite CDEs to coach are agronomy, speech, or anything his students are excited about. He loves to connect all students through mechanics, metal, and woods. He says it’s an area all students are interested in, no matter their background.
Looking back on his career, Wille’s highlights have always been watching his students become successful, contributing members of society. He’s in a unique situation where many of his students now are sons and daughters of his former members. Looking forward, he’s excited to watch his students grow this year and every year. Over the next ten years, Mr. Wille anticipates technology and FFA activities being more involved in Agriculture Education.
