ACHIEVEMENT THAT’S EARNED
In Wyoming, recognition reflects work — in your SAE, your chapter, and your community. From your first degree to the highest state honor, each milestone represents growth, leadership, and responsibility.
Chapter Awards
Strong chapters build strong leaders.
Chapter Awards recognize programs that are serving their communities, developing members, and creating meaningful opportunities statewide.
Degrees
FFA Degrees mark progress in a member’s journey. Each level reflects increased involvement, leadership, and documented achievement.
Degrees are awarded based on specific requirements, such as hours of instruction, money earned/invested, and community service, starting at the chapter level and culminating in the national American FFA Degree.
Discovery Degree
For 7th and 8th grade members beginning their journey in agricultural education and FFA.
Greenhand Degree
For first-year high school members learning FFA history, the creed, and beginning their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).
Chapter Degree
For members who have demonstrated commitment through classroom instruction, participation in official functions, and service to their school and community.
State Degree
For upperclassmen who have invested significant time in their SAE, served their communities, and shown sustained leadership and growth.
American Degree
The highest honor the National FFA Organization bestows — recognizing graduates who have achieved excellence in leadership, service, and agricultural entrepreneurship over multiple years of membership.
Each degree builds on the one before it. Progression reflects commitment to agriculture, to service, and to becoming the kind of leader who elevates others.

Scholarships
Wyoming FFA Scholarships support members as they pursue education and career goals. These awards recognize academic effort, leadership, and commitment to agriculture, and invest in next steps for our next great leaders.
Wyoming State Star Awards
The Wyoming State Star Awards are the highest individual honors at the state level. They recognize outstanding SAEs, leadership, and long-term dedication.
