About Wyoming FFA

Today, student members are engaged in a wide range of curriculum and FFA activities, leading to more than 235 career opportunities in agriculture. Our History
The National FFA Organization began in 1928 when a group of forward-thinking agricultural education students and teachers saw the need for a national organization that would prepare young people for leadership and careers in agriculture. Built on a foundation of hands-on learning, public speaking, and service, FFA was created to develop confident, capable leaders who could strengthen their communities and the industry that feeds and fuels the world. What started as a small gathering of farm boys in Kansas City has grown into a nationwide organization that welcomes members from rural, suburban, and urban backgrounds—united by a shared belief in hard work, responsibility, and the power of agricultural education.
Wyoming FFA traces its roots back to the very early days of the national organization. The Wyoming FFA Association was organized in 1929, just one year after FFA was established nationally.
